Avo-Fries

Avocado made into fries?! What more could you want

Avo-Fries Avo-Fries Avo-Fries Avo-Fries Avo-Fries Avo-Fries

Ingredients 

 

  • 2 avocados 
  • 1 lime 
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 cup bread crumbs 
  • 2 tbsp oil or cooking spray

 

Directions

 

  1. Preheat oven to 400F
  2. Slice the avocados into wedges then squeeze lime juice over top 
  3. Spread 1 tbsp of the oil on to a baking sheet or use cooking spray
  4. Dredge the avocado wedges into flour, dip in the beaten egg then cover in bread crumbs 
  5. Place the avocado wedges onto the baking sheet in one single layer
  6. Drizzle the remaining tbsp of oil over the top of the wedges 
  7. Place the baking sheet into the oven for 13-15 minutes, or until golden brown
  8. Serve with your favourite dipping sauce. Optionally, grate parmesan over top or garnish with chopped cilantro
